Who Are We? Purpose & Identity

Why does the King Solomon's Council exist?

Lesson purpose: Establish the Council's purpose and the standard of conduct expected of a Prince, while reserving detailed Patron and Council-Palace instruction for later phases.

Study topics

  • Why the King Solomon's Council exists within IFAMM.
  • The Council as a brotherhood founded upon wisdom, righteous judgment, humility, leadership, and service.
  • Service rather than title as the foundation of a King Solomon.
  • A basic introduction to the Council's connection with the Queen of the South Palace.
  • Wisdom, Strength, Beauty, and Service as principles to be lived.
  • What should distinguish a Prince in conduct, leadership, and service.

What foundation did we inherit?

Lesson purpose: Trace the Council's development and Supreme King Solomon lineage through a factual historical study.

Study topics

  • 1967: establishment of the Queen of the South Degree and Princess Dorothy Riley as first Supreme Queen Bathsheba.
  • 1968: Prince James Smith appointed first Supreme King Solomon.
  • 1972: charter and developing organizational foundation.
  • The historical presence of Worthy Patrons before the Council became an independent body.
  • 1997: movement toward organized Councils and James Alexander's role in developing the framework.
  • Chronological study of the Supreme King Solomon lineage and each administration's milestones.
  • 1999-2017: Ill. Layton Swinney, 33° and major Council developments.
  • 2017-2025: Ill. Floyd Jenkins Jr., 33° and continued development.
  • 2025-present: current administration and the 2026 official chartering of the Ill. Layton Swinney, 33° Supreme King Solomon's & Patrons Council.
